GDT Maple Leafs @ Tampa Bay (TSN)

Kadri is back; lighting up since Kuly was brought to his line.

Was at the game tonight; they played shitty overall but came away with a W. Really liked Bodie's game as well as our 2nd line. Raymond is trash

"Great save, game-saving save," Kadri said. "We almost expect him to make those type of saves now because he's done it so often. He's a great goaltender, up with the best, and he definitely showed it there."

Always good to come up with a W ...

- Kinda expected first game back home after a long road trip is crap, so from that perspective it wasn't too bad ... but fair to say TB deserved at least 1 point in this game

- Kadri was carrying the offense all night long, buzzing around getting chances every shift. The first line was kinda asleep until the game winning goal OTOH

- I am a LOT less pissed knowing it's a young guy who makes those defensive mistakes, but both TB goals were Rielly's fault. Especially the first one. Sucks that you can't even make a simple play along the board, and worse, bounce if off into the middle of the ice which is a dangerous area.

- Lupul is making a lot of dumb plays on the ice, in all 3 zones.

- Raymond is waht he is. If he plays on the 3rd line for $1M i can accept that.

- If we lose Gleason for an extended period it will hurt this club, because he brings something that only Phaneuf also does consistently - he breaks up cycles. He has been very effective at using his size and his reach to break up cycles along the board, and the D is a LOT more stable with Phaneuf on 1st line, and Gleason on 2nd unit. You watch the mistake Gardiner, Rielly and Franson make on simple plays along the board and you know why before Gleason came the Leafs struggled so much with dump-in's.

- Gunnar hasn't been playing well this season either.

- I actually hope Clarkson comes back soon. You see Holland makes some good plays, trying to cycle the puck but that's completely not Raymond's game. Anytime the puck goes even near the board and Raymond will lose it. He loses it not only because he is weak physically, but more so because he doesn't even goes into the dirty area. It's no coincidence Holland played his most effective hockey with Clarkson and Kulemin on his line. Without that, Carlyle really rolled 2 lines last night.

- I watch Ashton and Aulie play and I still scratch my head why we made that trade. Aulie isn't anything great, but he's a useful, young bottom pair dman. Ashton is pretty useless.

- And yeah, tough to stay on Team Reimer with Bernier playing this good, this consistent.

2 points is 2 points at the end of the day.

Nah, most vaginas are more then willing to take a pounding:thumbsup(22):

Hah, good one.

Naz was amazing tonight. Maybe the best game I've seen him play this season. Top line was buzzing too. Just have to limit the chances we give up in transition, otherwise pretty solid effort.

Tampa's put together a surprisingly impressive roster somehow. Of course, having the best goalie in the league this season masks many a deficiency. Poor Sens fans.

Aulie has barely been cracking Tampas blue line, I'd rather have Ashton.

Yeah same here. He'd do much better if he had a guy like D'Amigo with him instead of Orr(who messes up pretty much every play). He has speed and works really hard but he's 3rd line at best so it's not like you'll see him scoring much anyways.
