Golf Thread

i dont think you are missing anything i guess i do not consider banging all the denny's waitresses when you are married with young kids to be normal

It's hardly "perverted" either. Want to judge his character on it, have at it, but a "perv" is a bit of a special piece of language usually reserved for people with mirrors on their shoes, flashers, etc, etc.

Tiger smashed a bunch of strange. Bad, but hardly perverted.

Ehhh..not really.

Well, the psycho part is probably from the time she assaulted him with a golf club and then chased him down the driveway to beat on his escalade with the same golf club. Flip the genders on that act and ask how it turns out. Tiger goes to jail for years if you flip genders there.

The gold digger bit is a pretty common shot at her from the people around Tiger. The word from the people around him, as well as some of the mistresses that have spoken out is that the cheating started because she froze him out. Maybe the characterization is wrong, but from 2nd hand accounts there appears to be some justification to it. With that said, you'll notice that I didn't say shit about that aspect of their relationship. I don't know or care whether she married him for the money or not. I do know though, that anyone unhinged enough to assault someone with a golf club and chase their car down the ****ing driveway is a nutter, full stop.

That was the rumour/tabloids but Tiger himself said she never attacked him. So who knows what really happened.

As for the relationship from what I recall it was Tiger that pursed her.

Credit goes to Tiger.

Now people have resumed the "can Tiger catch Jack?" stuff.

I believe this is the first major Tiger won without having the lead.

Watching on Friday when Tiger was at -5 I said if he remains at -5 (note that a lot of golfers were bogeying the last two holes that day) he will win. He got it to -6.

On Sunday it was looking like Molinari was going to glide to victory. But amen corner claims him.

iirc Tiger was the only one in the final two groups to not make a double bogey.

Of course after Tiger the credit must go to scotty (cameron)....he has only won one major with it.

best part of the masters was that guy slide tackling tiger

The official story is that Elin heard the crash (which occurred outside their property) and ran to the scene of the crash and "freed" Tiger from the vehicle with the golf club she amazingly decided to grab before leaving the house (but clearly didn't have in her hands during the argument both of them acknowledge occurred before he left their property, that according to both did spill outside the house). I know that when I see a car crash, the first thing I think of grabbing is my 9 iron just in case I need to free someone from the vehicle. She of course freed him by smashing out the rear...rear window of his Escalade.

Tiger had facial injuries that were treated at hospital, but the air bag didn't deploy. I would love to see you bend over backwards this hard to explain away a serious case of spousal abuse if the genders were reversed.

Come on my dude.

He did. Not sure how that changes the calculus though.

Oh I assume she hit the car with the golf club. Just not sure she hit him with the club.

And what bending over backwards? All I said was who knows what happened and disagreed about the psycho term.

As for the gold digger comment. I'm sure if her motive was money she should would have dated the richest guy in golf straight way.

At the minimum, she chased him with a golf club and beat the shit out of his truck with that golf club. Had she caught up to him instead I'm sure she would have put the club down and had a level, reasoned conversation about her grievances with him.

Yes, people who chase other people with golf clubs and smash out windows on their car windows are well balanced. Calling her a psycho was clearly wrong.

Listen man, we know a couple of things about domestic violence 1) If the man is being abused, even in 2019, it's very rarely taken seriously & 2) It's almost always a pattern of behaviour and not one off acts of violence. This was very clearly an act of domestic violence. What bending over backwards? Bending over backwards to avoid seeing Tiger as the actual victim he was in that situation.

It's weird that you're not willing to infer things when you have actual evidence (injuries, vehicle damage not consistent with the crash damage, presence of a weapon, etc), but are willing to infer things like her motive to get married, when we don't.

By all accounts, she was dating a guy at the time Tiger first asked Jesper about her. Half the tour was asking Jesper about her with no traction but she magically ended up single shortly after Tiger asked about her. Hey, maybe she was legitimately unhappy in her existing relationship, or maybe she was a 21 yr old failed model who got caught up in the opportunity to date (and later marry) a hyper rich athlete who happened to be funny looking and socially awkward.

I'm not saying she's a gold digger, but she ain't ****in with no broke ******

Lets keep in mind that my only point was around some of the terms used.

For a guy that does not want to call tiger a perv - for sleeping with over 100 women while married and going to rehab after you sure seem bothered by somebody not having a narrow definition of that word. But have a broad definition of psycho or gold digger.

Because "perv" has the connotation I've already noted. It's typically reserved for guys wearing trench coats on the bus or creeping around schoolyards. And I reject your claim that I have a broad definition of "psycho" or "gold digger". She ticks most of the gold digger boxes (wealthy guy, cold and distant relationship according to people close to them) and the colloquial use of the term "psycho" absolutely pertains to someone willing to go ham on an escalade with a golf club, after chasing her husband with that same golf club at 2:30 AM.

Tiger is a liar, cheater, etc. Not a pervert. She might...might be a gold digger (again, I'm not making judgement on this one, but to dismiss it out of hand as a possibility is silly given what was public about the relationship), but she's definitely an abusive psycho.

Perv means whatever the **** I want it to mean. You called me a gay. Does that mean I suck dick? Of course not. Since when do we go by dictionary definitions in this thread?

All this time I was using the term perv as shorthand for pervasive.

But yeah, there is no straight and narrow definition. It almost always refers to men...and most often women get to decide who's a perv.
