MSL is happy having the option of putting Suzy, Dano, Evans on the ice at the same time for defensive faceoffs....all these years we have sucked at faceoffs, finally we have 2 great faceoff guys

He was really good on the dot tonight and made several smart plays. He’s not what he used to be but he can still defend well. For the most part.

Matheson was horrible tonight. Without Dobson on his flank he’s a bonehead.

I thought Matheson was real good besides a few miscues — which is par for the course when you play more than 25 mins

We will see Kapanen back on Wednesday. Aside from tonight, we were the better team in this series overall. We'll play looser against Buffalo now that we've won a round. The next step in the rebuild has been taken, that's huge for these kids and will relieve a lot of pressure.

I liked what I saw from Slaf (empty net aside) and Demi tonight. Just need Cole to get his mojo

Some really soft puck handling by Dobson tonight. Don't know if its his hand, or just Dobson. When pressure is applied, I feel more comfortable with Matheson handling the puck. But, that too, can be an adventure as noted.

It was gonna be a bumpy re-entry.

But he does take up space on D and has a good active stick. And, crucially, he reduces the load for Matheson and Guhle.

Dobson is always kind of soft on the puck. But tonight I thought he was excellent defensively.
