I don’t like ETFs. I gotta pick the winner!
Yup. We both entered at a great time. For me it was shortly after the original thumb boom that I rode. Exited about 8-9% too early (maybe worse, we'll see, but I much prefer being in names that already consolidated, are in hourly uptrends and aren't remotely overbought at this stage) and once again my largest position is now thumb for boom part deux. Also bought TRUL cheaper than where I sold which now makes up my second largest position. Curaleaf third - that one has been the weakest of all of em since March. Likely has to do with them not being as discounted as the others; huge market cap and perhaps not THAT far ahead and also lotta cheap paper from the grassroots acquisition unloading shares. But I do think all-time highs is in their future as well. I'm going long-ish with Cresco now too because why not - 4th largest position. I think it's the big boys turn to get some action now. Exciting times.

Yeah I have a certain amount I allocate to pot stocks. It used to be a lot more but it was a far easier play back in March or December 2018 levels. So I basically hold a mix of 4-5 leaders at all times and mix and match based on charts and hold mostly cash in the account that I use for day trades/taking advantage of getting 3-4+% on laggards. It isn't perfect but it has worked very well so far.As you know, I'm not as active as you with pot stocks. I'm basically letting them ride for the next 5 yrs, with small trims and tails.
But not a daily or weekly thing.
I allocate a small percentage to riding the next laggard. TER was a good one, and now has become core.
AYR.A was amazing, but I'm down to very little.
JUSH is my new baby riding on Pennsylvania buzz.
Your ego will be the end of you.
There will be more than one winner tho. No different than all sectors. And really in MJ it's near impossible to pick the best, one true leader. No crystal balls here folks. It's reallllllly early days. It’s not ego really. I just don’t like the grab bag approach. I like to settle on the leader or the upstart and then really follow them. The ETFs are for people who don’t have the patience or desire to really follow a company.

Maybe that’s why I’ve hesitated because I really can’t see why one of these is substantially better than the other. It’s unlike every other stock I’ve bought. Might be that the ETF is really the only smart way to play the sector.
To be fair I wouldn't take stock advice from me either. I'm a psychopath.
Can’t we just get Presty into tech so that all the discussions can be about that?
