Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Congrats gents, looks like you're killing it.

I know you guys are constantly discussing these MSO's, but what do you think of them at current prices and just planning to hold them for 1 year+, while checking up and rebalancing? I finally have some cash freed up, and have a high risk tolerance. Not interested in learning to actively trade though.

MSOS is a newish ETF, not a bad basket to buy and hold

More info here:
https://www.etf.com/MSOS#overview

MSOS is the first US-listed actively managed ETF to provide exposure solely to American cannabis and hemp companies, including multi-state operators (MSOs).

Just checked and my TFSA YTD is +340%

What a stupid conflicting year

you’ve been doing it for a while but a lot of folks who started being active in the markets after Covid are going to be disappointed next year (and the years after that) because they still don’t appreciate what an outlier this year has been.

my extreme goal next year will be 25% return, the same goal I initially made for myself in 2020

Yeah as I said, once in awhile the market gives you gifts. I had three of them. Two in particular were life changing: December 2018 and March 2020. Those opportunities don't happen very often.

Taxman came knocking because of my TFSA balance already once. I'm expecting him to come knocking again this year. This time I won't be as lucky most likely.

Taxman might be busy with other stuff (Covid related) this time around.

Hopefully. Either way I oddly don't really care. It's just a big pain in the ass to try to prove that this isn't my primary income. It'll be kind of hard to do when this is the second time in the last three years I've made way more in my TFSA than my day job. Way more.

Edit: actually third time in three years. Though 2018 wasn't by a considerable amount. It is what got the tax man knocking though.

You would have to pay capital gain taxes on it....or stick it in your RRSP and defer taxes when you retire....making too much $$ in your TFSA is a nice "problem" to have

Yeah I don't really care. I'll take this problem. It's mostly the inconvenience of dealing with the CRA that sucks.

Thing is I never really planned or expected my TFSA to do this. Otherwise I wouldn't do my degenerate shit in there. Ah well, it don't matter.

CCHW getting a move which is beautiful but holy fuck TER. Ho Lee Fuck.

Wow. Terraking knocking on $11. New frontier.
I'll never forget this different world of just over an hour ago where CH1 and myself were even shocked at the sight of TER knocking on $11.

And then it does 67 cents on top of that because it's telling me and my market cap logic to shut the fuck up you dumbass. The one thing I learn more than anything about trading is that I don't know mother fucking anything. Important to realize that to stay humble.

"BUT MUH MARKET CAP." Shut the fuck up, Presto.

It's the only explanation.

$150m annual run rate and their market cap is 2.6b. 2021 Guidance is an upper estimate of $285m for the year. Compare to that Cresco - 3.5ish billion dollar market cap with 2021 looking like $1b in revenue and far more profitable and a much larger footprint in key states (should price in more growth, no??? No?!!?!?!?)

Oh god. I did the market cap thing again.

$13.

So that CCHW play worked out. Cool. Close to all-time highs so I'll hold. I like knowing that there aren't any bagholders in a name.
