Hey Nerds: Blockchain

it did nothing for 15 years though, started moving about a year ago, and the dividend was nothing special

it was a maddening stock to own
Yup, but I pounced on it at the perfect time. I just gave up on it too soon. Its dividend was something like 5.5% when I was holding it, so nothing to sneeze at. It's only 2% or whatever now because the price has tripled.

I was very lucky to own options when the Broadcom news came out.... I was in a job interview for a freelance gig, the other person went to get a coffee and I saw my TFSA jump up $7K US... had to wait until the interview was over before I could figure out what was happening
That was literally me today. I looked at the portfolio, and I did a double take on Slack. I was like, what?? It was $34.70 or something, up like $5, and then I quickly turned on CNBC and saw the news.

True about the dividend. Fucking Trump ruined our gains for not allowing the Broadcom purchase

Yup, that was shit. I was so annoyed. That's exactly why I'm jitterly about this Salesforce deal. If it doesn't happen, Slack will suffer, and then I will suffer, and I hate suffering.

I'll be honest... I'm going to have a hard time calling a name that did like 450% for me in basically a month "SHG". They will always be CBII.

Since it's important to be forward looking....

Population of 10.6m in Georgia so it could be a damn good market. I'd imagine Kim is going to put all her marbles in this one in terms of trying to obtain a license. The level of THC cannot be higher than 5% so clearly we're looking at baby steps here, but it'll grow. Have to be forward looking in this sector. Eventually supply meets demand and selling prices and margins start dropping. Illinois and PA are some of the hottest states right now and by all accounts they should have another 2 or 3 years of solid growth but eventually those markets will mature and these companies will be depending on other states for growth.

When I think of or hear about roku I have always thought about ch1. The two are synonymous for me. You were in on them hard from the very beginning and that's what I call an impressive, borderline genius, eye for value.

I don't care if you got the idea from that subscription service. Credit will always go to the buyer of the stock. Or to the one that subscribes to the correct service and some trash like not wolf of dipshit.

CCHW is so close to breaking out in a big way to all-time highs. Break and follow through on 5.50 and the sky is the limit. Still a cheap stock!

Shares of Score Media & Gaming Inc. soared on the announcement. Previous laws were “outdated” and the changes will allow the legal sports betting market to flourish, said John Levy, founder and chief executive officer of the Toronto-based company, in an email. “Canadians deserve a modernized and regulated sports betting market.”

I owned it one point for this type of news but got tired of wating

HAHA...Terrascend was down for most of the morning, grabbed another Red Bull and blasted over 12
