Hey Nerds: Blockchain

I wanna get a dog just so I can shop at CHWY.....late day bull move with lots of volume

Big red volume on all MSOs in the last 10 seconds. Has happened quite a bit lately. Usually not predictive of the following day.

Okay short handed goal. Let's see whatchu got. They usually wait till 4:30 to report if memory serves me correct, though there's no real pattern with them. Fuck, they reported during trading hours once.

They're on Sedar. Seems to be a decent decrease in revenue this quarter. 3.3 million, but still kinda profitable-ish.

Thank god they cashed up and started acquiring because I don't think they'll even match last years total revenue with the assets they still have. Oh well, we'll see how the market reacts to this.

Gross revenues of $3.3 million with a robust gross margin of 71%. Revenue does not include contribution from recently announced acquisitions.

Yeah they said they expect the acquisitions would add about 5m and 1m adjusted ebitda annually so pro-forma may be something like 4.5m in revs and 550m in ebidta. Mucho better for sure. The cash position and lack of debt is their knight and shining armor.

$148m market cap currently so a lotta growth is priced in but it's fair enough compared to their peers in the sector.

This is how hot this sector is:

These guys have a $400m market cap, though their guidance for 2021 is about double Short Handed Goal's. Either way, feels crazy.

I'm glad you brought that one up -- I followed it for a while and lost track of it.

I got in at the height of Covid fears in March.....got in at .55; got out at .55. Obviously I was too impatient. But it was in a prime pandemic sector, yet did not budge until August.

A few advantages over CBII;

It got a lot more hype early on
it helps that it's on the TSX venture exchange rather than CSE. (SHG will make the jump soon)
And their name tells you what the company is, while CBII was (and still is) lumped in with pot stocks. Again the name change will help out.

Still, that stock hasn't performed as well as CBII, or most of the pot stocks I ended up buying instead. So zero regrets.

A Teed pick getting some love. It’s been dead forever; still looks dead but hope springs eternal

Last I checked I though Holl looked pretty damn good at that price. Surprised to see it struggle to move. But then again, that's what happened to cbii too!

Tinley fires off earnings! Not very important considering where they're at. But I'm glad they met their deadline. $50 million dollar company I believe but they appear to be positioned to finally actually make money. I have such a soft spot for them and anyone that balls deeps bevvies.

calling LOF

Yeah, they were saying this on Saturday. I've been reading about where people expect the price to land and there's no consensus other than north of $40. Seems like the conservative types expect $45 and the aggressive types think $50.

I've been trying to think about when in the past an acquisition was announced that undershot the expectations. Like, my near-term concern here is that they announce that it's for $38 or some shit like that. I guess as long as it's above $40, whatever. It's not a home run for me at $50 either. Only way to lose is if the deal falls apart and it tanks, but it doesn't seem that's in the cards.

I was thinking over the weekend that it's too bad Slack has some sort of blood feud with Microsoft, or those guys swooping in and turning it into a bidding war might've yielded a nice result of $55 or $60.

You know you're disappointed when you're more bummed about the tax bill (I'd need to hold for 6 more months to get capital gains treatment) than the buyout premium. Holding to get taxed less increases the risk of having it fall apart in those 6 months. Better than MSFT eating it alive though.

Surprised TNY has not rallied this month -- Nov was very good to anything cannabis related
