Hey Nerds: Blockchain

The real miss was not loading up at $80 after their first post-covid earnings report.

honestly, the pandemic created much better bargains than DIS at 80.

While 80 to 180 is sweeet, it pales in comparison to the movement of every single stock I bought at the depths of the COVID crash.

I think we have another month or so before the US comes to the realization that this new variant is going to take over and be impossible to control. The x-factor is of course the vaccinations... How many people will be immune by the time the variant completely takes over? How soon will the variant take over the US? We know it's going to happen. Just a matter of when.

If we're betting on things being normal soon and normalcy is priced in, then I probably lean a little mid-term bearish. Lots of uncertainty, but it's starting to feel a bit like February/March when all we did was watch Covid from afar and assume that the US is untouchable and it'll all go away soon. Feels like that once again with this variant that has quite literally forced the UK to approve an unproven vaccine AND an unproven dosing regimen (in efforts to get them in as many people as possible as quickly as possible) simply because their supply of that vaccine is incredibly high. It's dire and it won't be unique to the UK. I feel like the vaccinations are an attempt at a buzzer beater because without them coming we'd be hopeless. Hopefully the vaccines are game 7 vs Philly Kawhi and not game 7 vs Philly VC.
This is very doom and gloom. Maybe will be completely accurate, I don't know. Hope not. But being on the ground here, I don't think anyone feels untouchable at the moment. California is smashing records daily with new cases and deaths. I think there were almost 500 deaths yesterday. But I think there is a calm about it because the sensible people are doing what they can do with their masks and just anecdotally from the circles I run in, are completely fine. These anti-mask ant-vax buffoons are the ones that are still busy partying, traveling, running around maskless, etc., and I think they're busy killing each other, while at the same time infecting here and there some of the more careful people too. It's a disaster at the end of the day, but I think the levelheaded portion of the populace believes this will go away sooner or later (within the next 6 -12 months), yet if things just get worse and we're no better off this time next year, then 2022 will be rough. How we fare over the next little bit is critical.

I told all my friends (who asked what they should buy) to grab DIS two yrs ago at 120, but I never got around to buying it myself.

Rough. Disney was uninteresting for a long time but streaming was such a clear win for them once they had enough properties to support a dedicated service.

Yeah like CBII doing over 2500% from March lows! Degen stonks baby!

Well yeah, I was just talking about DIS in particular.

Every stock you bought in comparison wilts against Tesla, so there were some radical wins that escaped even the market wizardry of CH.

I don't bet on things heavily because that's how you lose money. I just like to keep an open mind. Medically speaking, the scientists are the ones who know best and there's a bit of a panic surrounding this new variant. The reason the stocks are zooming right now has everything to do with vaccines and assuming normality in 2021. If that doesn't happen, it won't be a good year. Keep an open mind to that. It's possible.

I'm almost 50-50 on the whole situation because I do have confidence that these vaccinations will make a huge difference and potentially make that difference before the variant takes over. But the mother fucker is over 50% more transmissible than the already highly contagious covid? Fuck me. That's game changing.

Not so fast bubba, PTON has outperformed TSLA since the lows.

I don't recall even seeing PTON at $20. I think around $40 is when it came on my radar. So that's almost 8x.

I believe I saw Tesla at $179 (may have been slightly before covid after a Musk snafu?). It's now $3,500. Almost a 20x.

I think CH1's point is that DIS, while a good buy at the lows, is pretty low on the list of best March low buys. Really low actually.

At this point, I'm open to conspiracy theories regarding the intentional release of these strains to reduce world population. It's just too nightmarish. Thank heavens for tv and the internet to let us pretend this isn't as ugly as it is.

I bot a few shares of PTON on Friday after Citron clowns gave it a $5 target. I was gonna sell if it tanked below Friday's low but stock is up 8%.

Posted this right here on March 16th. $18. Never looked back.

Of course. Who argued otherwise?

He was pooping on it though by referencing his other picks, and so I'm just pointing out there's always a bigger winner out there.

But all in jest anyway. I've given CH kudos daily for his performance this year.

There's a pretty good scientific explanation for the variant tbh. Just either block everything out for your mental health purposes or read what the experts have to say. That should help with the conspiracy theories.

Same here. My poking is all in jest. Except that DKNG stuff...

Throw a dart on a bullish play in March and you look like a genius. All it took was a tremendous amount of balls to pull the trigger.
