Folks. We need to learn how to admit defeat when facts are at our finger tips in the world wide Web era. I once invested in Canadian cannabis. I had a long thesis. Guess what? I was wrong. I admitted it and it made me a better person. I hope we can all learn from this experience.

If we don't like particular jargon that's perfectly fine. We can find it silly! But to pretend it doesn't exist in a wide scale is simply ignorant to cold hard facts. And at forumice capital we run on facts. Let's not change that.
 
This seems to be your Achilles heel! I simply used it and it upset you that it's widespread trading jargon! I will continue to use it with the rest of the beautiful community. Thanks to everyone who supported me via PM.

Haha. I honestly can’t tell if you’re kidding or not. But I think you’re actually not or you wouldn’t be going to such lengths.
 
I've never been less serious about anything in my life and I don't blame you for being confused considering my psychopathy. Needless to say, I can confirm that the cash hoard is on in prestoville.
 
You can't seem to accept the jargon. But you gladly accept naked shorting. Interesting bias at play here folks.

Needless to say, yeah I am hoarding cash in two of my trading accounts. Kind of an exciting time.
 
I think that's a liberal use of the term, but yeah 5% is considered hoarding by many, especially hedge funds.

I still think it's liberal for a hedge fund to say 5% = hoarding but it is well above the average for them. And if I was 5% cash I'd consider that balls deep, not hoarding obviously. Felt that was obvious.
 
Presty, honestly who cares. You brought it up again today, so the fun is starting all over, but I feel like you’re actually getting bothered by it so I’m starting to feel bad!

Well, when you have 50 Billion under management, 2.5 Billion is a lot of cash.

5% of even a million dollar portfolio isn't really "hoarding" cash in any functional sense of the word. That's a down payment on a M4, not a cash hoard.
