The issue here is that you've been hypersensitive because you think some perception might be created that if you're 95% in cash then your 5% in stocks could only amount to some nominal figure like $10k or something, and then everyone will think oh, big man on campus, talking for years about a $10k position in equities. Meanwhile, I told you from the get go that you could have 5% of your portfolio in stocks that could still be worth millions of dollars. How would anyone here know?
So the whole "hoarding" subject is about use of the term, not what the hard dollar implications mean to your specific holdings. And yeah, hoarding cash in this context usually means you've gotten out of most everything else so that you can dive in on a big fall in the markets. Not that you're saving up some cash from a certain trading activity to buy in a dip. But again, who cares.
