Don't feel like firing up the charts right now, but here's the coles notes for you to take a look at.
Suncor
- Looking for a trend reversal as it just broke the downward trend it's been in since March. Would set my stop at that big nasty bottom they had in December, 35.53. It's just bumping up against the 20sma right now, I wouldn't enter until it's over the 20, I hate trading against the 20. Even if it's not breaking out of the long term downtrend, there's room to run to the 1st price resistence level at 42.77.....if it rejects, pull the pin and take profit.
Apple
- Solid long term uptrend with enough movement between the higher highs and higher lows to make coin off of. Support at 192.58 (and where I would set my stop if I wanted to ride), 221.37 resistance, where I would get off if it rejected.
Roku
- CH's favourite stock is in a long term uptrend. Had a nice run recently that I wouldn't chase (RSI of 74 right now, so the move will probably run out of steam shortly) but if it pulled pack into the low 130's I'd consider entering.
If I had to pick one for a quick hit, Suncor has a history of rallying hard after hitting bottom and then throw in the geopolitics of oil always being volatile in a world where Venezuela is a basketcase, Trump is the president and Iran is jacking tanker ships. That's probably where I'd go. Just watch for resistance at the 50 day sma (39.80 right now)
