Leafs/Habs/Sens 2014-15

So would the opinion of a PHD in Sports Psych who workes with pro athletes and Olympians be good enough for you?

Depends on the quality of the opinion. If said person's opinion was that Carey Price was shook every time he played the Sens because of a playoff series 2 years ago, and misused a statistic to try to suit that opinion, I probably wouldn't take the opinion seriously no. Partially because no self respecting professional would use the heft of his PHD (in a very soft science, but I digress) in a discussion about an athlete he's never worked with, and partially because the argument is ridiculous on it's face, regardless of the credentials of the person holding it.

Hey Chess master...the comment was directed at the issue of principles of sport and sport psych being the same with or without a paycheck.

Do try and keep up.

As for the idea that some athletes struggle vs certain opponents for reasons both rational and irrational, that is well established.

No one is suggesting that Price is shaking when facing the Sens but his last 10 games vs the Sens won't help his confidence and certainly helps the shooters view him as human and beatable.

After all the bitching Habs fans did about the Sens "sell local" playoff ticket policy for games 3-4 (which then sold out in 15 min), it is ironic to note that neither game 1 or 2 has yet to be sold out in Montreal.

Wonder what policy is keeping Habs fans from buying tickets to their own rink???

Further proof that Hab fans don't consider the Sens a rival.

Lol, it's called money. Prices are double in Montreal.

As UW states there are 15 tix left for tonight and six for Friday, ergo meaningless.

Our tickets sold out in 15 min in spite of the sell local restrictions.

Habs fans whined about access, when they still had plenty of seats available in their own barn.

Maybe your fan base just isn't as passionate as the Sens...
