From what I’ve seen, I think he might actually be kinda good. If he can ultimately (soon) be a solid young second pair /#4, I’m very happy.
Like taking +/- - PPG is likely gonna shoot him way down that list
Some say he’s the next Stuart Percy or Jeff Ware! Perhaps even a destitute man’s version of Luke Schenn! Exciting times.
Difference is Danford is a very good skater.
I’ll admit I know next-to-nothing about Dernferd other than what his hockeydb profile shows.
I just assume that the big D picked by Treliving who can barely even put up any points as a 20 year-old in junior hockey is going to be a bust.
Also generally assume anytime we select a “low-ceiling” player with a 1st rounder than they’re going to be a bust, like Stuart Percy, Tyler Biggs & Freddie the Goat.

He can skate, he just can't skate and stick handle at the same time. Or pass or shoot very well. Then why doesn't he skate with the puck?
looks like the KHL has fallen below the AHL as a league.

Very excited to watch his leaf career.

I watched him at the world Juniors in one game and based my entire scouting report on that. He was a bit of a grenade chucker under pressure and I didn't see much of him skating his way out of pressure with the puck. He was having a tough go of things and the opposition was constantly trying to get their best players on against his pairing to create that mismatch.
Sample size: part of 1 singular wjc game. So dyor.
I'm all-in on Sham Langford and hope he can make the team next year. Would be if he's a 6/7. Give him like 40-50 games to wet his feet.
