My rule (if I weren't married) would be , if she doesn't know Weird Science and Commando, it won't be a good match33 yrs difference between Bill Lynam and his sons former stepmother, just sayin….

He goneI'm not sure if it was already confirmed elsewhere, but Hughes just confirmed that the Habs were fully ready to welcome Hage and let him play in Montreal or Laval, but also fully support his decision. It's not a matter of if, but when he signs.

Kind of cruel on a personal level but he also showed signing to wear the CH was not a top priority for him. Given NHL schedule starts earlier next season, we could be done before NCAA season ends for him so he might not play for us until 27-28I'm open to trading him in the right deal.

It’s not a 100% guarantee Hage won’t have a change of heart as Cooley did last summer and sign an ELC…Or....maybe Habs told him he might be spending some time in Laval next season, and he wanted nothing to do with the daily grind of AHL travels.....NCAA is much more relax until he eventually makes the jump to NHL.

it's the new reality of these hockey players...they have better options, unlike back in the daysNot an attitude anyone likes, if true.
Ideally, you want the dude to think “I’m gonna play so well, you won’t dare send me to Laval next season”

He’s been bulking up for two years —I don’t think his size is an issue. It will keep filling out.
He can learn face offs and PK with the best of our coaches. Nobody is expecting him to come in and play Pk right away, or take important late game dzone faceoffs
There might be other things going on. Hughes said “I won’t get into all the details”
He could easily have said, “there’s stuff he needs to work on”
Instead he said he wanted Hage to sign now
Is it though? It was his dad’s team.Really? There is a better option than signing a contract to play for your childhood team?

No top end American or Canadian offensive talent will go AHL way…. Those days are over, it’s a league to develop bottom-6 / 3rd pairing Dman & GNot an attitude anyone likes, if true.
