Michel Therrien

I don't know what to say....I'll be straight forward.

He's not even close to PK

He was in the playoffs. Got injured for a few minutes and we got scored on. Took no dumb penalties. Scored some goals.
If we need an elite forward... we need to trade a so called elite player back. Or its never ever going to happen.

Dont get me wrong, im not serious about the trade. PK is needed for a cup run. But the elite forward that everyone is crying for will not come from trading guys like Pleks

Petry had a very good playoff run...but he doesn't have the impact PK does.

PK was also responsible to bail out Markov on a consistent basis, PK was retrieving pucks on dump ins he had no business going after only because he knew markov was too slow.

Give PK a suitable partner and you will get even more

Thats the type of guy we would have to trade to get an elite player. People dont get that. We have nothing to trade to make it happen. Thats why we will ice basically the same team next year.

Well yeah, but PK is an elite player.

You would just create another deficiency by trading your #1 dman for a #1 center

Yup - that's why the Habs will not be acquiring an "elite player". But if they could add two "good players" like Backes & Sharp, the entire top-6 dynamic would now be different.

Yep. So basically we do not improve. So getting anothe PAP type player is the best we can do. That why i would not be surprised if we sign a guy like Vermette. Who will not help us a bit, but thats all we can do

Teams don't trade elite players unless you're Peter Chiarelli and you trade one of the best elite talents under 22 years of age because of extra curricular issues.

You draft the elite players and if you don't draft high enough you hope to find one later in round one or early round two that maybe dropped some spots.

Like Perry or PK or Getzlaf or Giroux

Being a mediocre team for years has killed us in the draft department. We are very lucky to have what we have.

You might want to see a doctor about that then.

Every team that wins the cup has some sort of luck along the way. Things just have to go the teams way. Ottawa isn't a very good team. We were much better.
it wasn't luck that drew us Ottawa, it was the fact we were 2nd in the East and had a great record. If I recall correctly yoy were one of posters who was scared of Ottawa.

Well said. Many just don't want to understand this point.

Or unless u "owe u'r old boss" - see Rick Nash, Keith Yandle (may not be elite but a very good offensive D)...

Scared? Nope never said that. Said Anderson was a Hab killer.

It's luck that they are not a very good team, which they are not. Would of been not so lucky getting tampa in round one.
