OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

2 days in a row with insane lows on case numbers in Ontario after a significant uptick last week. The first day I was like, okay maybe this is an outlier. Now I'm just confused. We'll see how the next few days go.

Yes that actually really good. A downward trend in % of tests completed being positive would be a big step forward.

Wonder if they have a strategy to do the antibody tests soon

does anybody have a good resource for what live is like in italy, germany, france, etc ?

curious how the recovery is going after getting absolutely shit kicked

Despite being completely setup to work from home and working the same if not more hours than in the office, my employer is ending work from home for the entire office (150 ish people) shortly.

Can the boomers just fucking retire already?

Amazing that people will have months of evidence that having people work from home works just fine, but even so they’ll still cling to the mentality that you’re not really working if you don’t fight through traffic to put in your 9-5/40 hours at the office.

If i ever get back to an office it will be very sparingly at least with my current company. I can't really fathom the need to have 150 people in an office just so they can sit on a computer.

Just got off a call with my boss talking about the benefits of working from home and how it will continue for most of our group.
Even though I would prefer we work in the office.

I work consulting and everyone is loving this wfh. I noticed that clients love MEETINGS now (teams/skype). They don't have to pay me to sit in traffic so there is no real fear in increasing the frequency of meetings. This leads directly to better work as we have a much more current finger on the clients needs and project status.

I also went in to the office today to print out some work. I don't miss it.
