OT: Fanboy fight: XBox V Playstation

Not my cup of tea, but I can definitely see the appeal of wanting to play something as true to life as possible. It's a narrative/fiction building thing for those people, and while the regular game is a Michael Bay movie, they're wanting to create something more true to life, that when the action then does ramp up, it has some stakes to it.


Again, not my thing....but I can see how such a style of gameplay would have an audience.

The new PS exclusive strike might be the worst one yet based on the reveal video. I mean ok, there's a relic and that's fine, but the rest before the boss chamber is pathetic. Even Omnigul beats it.
 
That's a shame to hear.....haven't seen the reveal videos myself, but being worse than the omnigul strike is pretty bad. (I thought the PS exclusive Vex strike last time, was exponentially better that it).

That said, the PS Exclusive strikes barely every get played anyway I find.....because they're never part of the Weekly Heroic or Nightfall playlists, so there's never any chance to play them with some real stakes/difficulty.
 
Been on MLB 15 The Show: Road to the Show lately.

I have Metal Gear Solid V arriving in the mail any day now. Amazon e3 preorders are backlogged and shipping a week late. My buddy did the preorders but couldn't wait so went to bestbuy to buy it and then return the one he gets from amazon to bestbuy to keep his e3 discount.

Watched a bit of the game and it looked fantastic.

Tempted to check this out as well.
 
Early thoughts on The Taken King (pre-strikes or Raid) is that it's pretty damn good. The new cut-scenes are phenomenal, and it's becoming much clearer that they have a pretty massive story planned on the whole, and year one was primarily about world building and putting the characters in place to tell their epic.

That said, I'm a pretty big mark for Destiny and have kinda loved the whole journey thus far as it is, but the true test of how good or bad TTK is, will be with the raid. So far, so good though.

Had just enough time to jump on before work to collect my rewards, and cash in bounties. Got my 3 toons to level 38 already :/
 
I'm not buying a new NHL game until they make it backwards compatible with the Be A Pro's of earlier versions. I'm sick of getting 2 seasons in a Be A Pro's career and then having a new NHL out, and having to either stick with the old game or start everything over again.
 
Getting a new unit for my place when I move next month. Time to get into 2015.

I have both the PS3 and 360. No preference.
