OT: Fanboy fight: XBox V Playstation

Played a lot of Fallout 3... Great game but I eventually got burned out on it, and never finished. (true open-world game with perhaps too many distractions). Heard a lot of great things about New Vegas so I bought it on sale a while back, tried playing it recently but just wasn't feeling it so only got maybe an hour in. Will go back to it eventually, but it will likely be quite a while before I get around to Fallout 4.

I used to feel that way about the Elder Scrolls series. Before Skyrim my knowledge of the series was Oblivion which I've never been able to take seriously. Skyrim blew the doors off the van though.

Yeah, I've never actually completed an Elder Scrolls game either, probably for similar reasons. Skyrim is amazing though, I do plan to get back in there and complete the main storylines at some point.

If you play Skyrim on PC, you owe it to yourself to check out the wealth of mods there are; not just better graphics but some cool changes that will make sure you never finish the game.

I'll be hittng up mid night release for Fallout 4, dispite my wife's protests that I'm an adult

I was always doing the midnight releases as well, but with the xbone having a TB... I downloaded COD last week and then at midnight it unlocks. I was great.

It may be a big file, but download that shiit and save your time at home.

I'm the opposite. Disks get damaged and worn down. I prefer digital as I always hated when my console had disk reading issues.

I've never really run into damaged disks, other than my dog eating BF4...I typically end up trading in whatever game for $15-20 down the road.

Big reason that I prefer buying the hard copies is that it also acts as a form of insurance. In that, if I don't end up liking the game or tire of it quickly, I can flip it on eBay or CL, and get my money back.

I still buy the odd game digitally just for the convenience of it, if I know I'll be playing a lot and won't be reselling it.....and sometimes it just a matter of there being a real damn good deal on, in the playstation store.

I tend to buy smaller games digitally. Journey, Duck Tales Re-Mastered, etc. If it's a triple A title discs feel more secure and can be used as currency later.

Not sure where you've been looking but it has a 91 on Metacritic. Which basically amalgamates all the reviews from major game review sites.
