OT: Health and Nutrition

Absolutely. Hey, if I could eat whatever I wanted with no consequences like I used to until around 35, I would do it. My diet would be pizza, burgers, and chicken fingers every day.

Fave recipe?

(Trying to get going on the bread thing. Refuse to pay 5 bucks for 22 oz of crap.)
Legit easier the better.
This is basically the one we go for. Your grandmother likely used lard instead of oil, which is why it was so addicting lol.. I use olive oil or avocado oil in this recipe instead of the veg or canola. Honey does add something instead of sugar and sometimes go with cane or brown sugar..

Close! My dinner most nights is some soup, a vegetable salad with lime and olive oil, and flame grilled chicken with cut up broccoli and cauliflower.
One of my favourite snacks is raw broccoli drizzled with olive oil and just salt… and yea, a really good salt, it does make a difference. Been hooked on Le Saulnier Fleur de Sel lately. It’s pricey but only used as a finishing salt last a long time.

Thank you! 😊

I'm an evoo freak (even use it in cake recipes, lol. . .), and honey is my go to sweetener, so this'll likely work out great.

Actually I have the broccoli and cauliflower steamed, not raw, and add salt, lime, and olive oil. Delicious.

But boring. Thing is, you have to eat this way most nights to have a healthy diet. And when you do for the most part, you crave the other stuff less. If you have bad stuff a few nights in a row, then your body wants it more and it's tougher to get back on track.

I had this for a while with a little cup of ice cream I'd have after dinner each night. After a few times, it felt like dinner was incomplete without it, so I needed to go cold turkey on it and get out of that rhythm.

Yeah, evoo is the best thing on the planet. They apparently drink shots of evoo in Italy. It's not really tasty enough on its own to do that, but it belongs on most foods. I think I saw this health guy talking on some video about how food is just an excuse to find ways to put evoo in your body.
