Fans get tired of watching a farm team for the Yankees and Red Sox after a while. The financial inequity that exists between MLB markets is what will eventually kill all of them, unless or until a hard salary cap is brought in.

Sure they do. But they wont like it when franchises fold because they have no fans and there are fewer jobs to be had.
What incentive does a fan of Tampa, Miami, Pittsburgh, Cincy, KC, or any small market town have to buy tickets? So they can watch their team get annihilated by the Dodgers, Yankees, Cubs and Red Sox every damn year? To watch their best players get poached by thise same big market teams every year?

Plus… it must be said there were powers that be in MLB that had once been part of the group in Milwaukee that lost the expansion bid when Montreal and SD got in. They didn’t exactly try super-hard to help.

Bud Selig bought the Seattle Pilots for a song and moved them to Milwaukee to become the Brewers one year after the team began in Seattle. So the powers that be was Selig himself.
Half this league is toast by July , why bother watching
