OT: Soccer thread

So is France. Heh.

But, if you have the misfortune of playing them when they have their poop in a group (which, admittedly, is rare) then yikes. They have a massive amount of talent.

only thing that gives me hope is that Ribery and Benzema are now scoring and it seems Deschamps has finally gotten the right 11 on the field, 11 goals in last three games, granted six were against Australia

Statues of Graham Zusi should be being built in Mexico as we speak.

I wonder if a former EPL defender turned coach will come out of retirement to suit up for NZ

Loic Remy is flying, Paul Pogba is dominating, Nasri has been playing well, Valbuena is in a good run of form...

They obviously have the roster to get it done.

Roma continue to roll. 8-0-0. 22goals for, 1 against.

Today they beat 2nd place Napoli, 2-0. Pjanic with both goals. The first was an amazing free-kick, the 2nd was a PS.

First Leg of African WC Qualifying:

Cameroon 0 - Tunisia 0
Nigeria 2 - Ethiopia 1
Ivory Coast 3 - Senegal 1
Burkina Faso 3 - Algeria 2
Ghana 6 - Egypt 1

Think the next leg is in November.

reminds me of the crazy goal he scored to put Italy out of Euro '04:

Anyone watch the canadian u-17 world cup game? I PVR'd the game yesterday (already know the result) but so far they actually look well setup and much more organized than the senior squad.

I believe the next 2 games will be shown live
