OT: Soccer thread

…with Solomon and Perisic out there crossing balls into the box for him, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Richarlison scores one or two today. Showing his “troubles” have been overblown a bit three games in, and that his lack of quality service from the wing is largely to blame.

Can easily picture him banging home a header with the quality of cross Perisic can make….also Solomon should give us a small glimpse of what Postecoglou wants Johnson for, as he’s a superior dribbler off the wing in this system, than Kulusevski.

You’re not missing much, B-team looks like shit….Fulham press doing a great job from allowing us to find any rhythm. Down 0-1

think Maddison will prob have to come on to give us more creativity, and maybe Bissouma.

19 year old striker and academy product Dane Scarlett, brought on at half time for Lo Celso to give us some added punch offensively.

curious if it means a change of shape at all

1-1, as a Perisic cross is headed home by Richarlison.

😚👌🏼

Other reports saying Fati have told Sevilla and others who were interested that he’s heading to Tottenham on loan, just a matter of hammering out the loan details with Barca….Mendes represents both him and Cancelo, who can’t be added to the team until someone is moved out, so they should be able to find common ground.

only hold up atm is his €13m salary, which Tottenham aren’t liable to want to cover in full….

Curious if this is in lieu of a Brennen Johnson deal, in addition to it, or as leverage to pressure Forrest.

he any good?

they're trying to solidify the bench with a 5th central midfielder, preferably more defensive oriented than offensive.

Insane amount of talent, should have been a Mousa Dembele type world beater, has world class press countering abilities, even better than Bissouma….but he’s got a poor gas tank, and all of Mourinho, Conte and Postecoglou have given up on him due to underwhelming training habits.

…but when he plays, and when he gets the ball, it’s pure magic.

If someone could get through to him, have him put in the requisite effort he’s an elite talent.

3-4 years ago we were negotiating hard with you guys to get Skriniar for Mourinho, think it was a January transfer window, and one of our top guys had even flown to Italy in the dying days of the window, was photographed at your grounds etc…everyone thought a deal would happen, but ultimately didn’t.

Anyway, during those negotiations when they were still too far apart on the transfer fee, Inter offered to do a Skriniar for Ndombele 1-1 swap, but we turned it down, as we still believed his upside was too much to give up on.

Oh, and he spent last year on loan at Napoli, started for a while but by seasons end was relegated to the bench.

FFS.

Hope this goes through, much prefer him landing with Inter than Galatasaray.

- Dane Scarlett off to Ipswich on loan, and he also signed a new contract with Spurs. 👌🏼….he’s our long term answer at striker imo, so great for him to land somewhere that he’ll play a ton.

- Tottenham interested in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, but it dependent on a Hojbjerg sale.

- Tanganga being discussed as an option for Augsburg….guessing outright sale, or loan with obligation to buy.

- Monaco considering a late transfer for Davinson Sanchez….we value him at €15-20m apparently. I’d think Davinson heading out means another CB we haven’t heard about much, is coming in. If I had to guess, prob a cheaper pacy Serie A defender.

- still trying to get a Brennan Johnson deal done, but the two clubs remain far apart on valuation…..I feel pretty confident Levy won’t go to £50m….and if they turned down £43m + add on’s + sell on clause from Brentford…there’s only a small window a deal could be reached within.

I suspect Levy makes a last ditch take it or leave it offer, putting the pressure on them & their financial burdens to accept…..prob £40-45m with easily reachable add-on’s for another £5m. Loan with obligation to buy, is pretty plausible too. I think Brennen wanting this deal to happen, likely helps it get completed.

- Burnley wanted to loan Eric Dier, we rejected….think he’s heading to Dortmund or Bayern.

Different player profile, but Forrest out there looking to spend this kind of money today, bodes well for a Johnson sale.

Tough tough draw for Milan. My brother won't be happy.

Then again they get two face their two biggedt transfer losses - Tonali's Newcastle and Donarrumma's PSG, so that should be fun.

Meanwhile Inter gets a nice comfy draw. They better not waste it.
