Yeah, they are without a doubt the Leafs of international football. It’s a relief not having to cheer for them too.

I mean, I suppose I do have a bunch of English ancestry (along with Irish & Scottish). But I couldn’t be bothered to actively cheer for/become emotionally invested in any team aside from Canada…as well as whoever happens to be playing the USA in this particular tournament.
 
Mexico coach will be frustrated by the two England goals. First one was executed perfectly by England, textbook counter. But where the hell were the defensive mids? Lack of foot speed? Anyway, too high a line. Maybe that’s the coach’s fault.

2nd goal was horrible.

I mean, that’s what we hoped after the Rangers broke their streak…and the Red Wings…and the Blackhawks…and the Red Sox…and the Cubs…and the White Sox…etc.

England winning would be the same. Every team is allowed to break their streak except for the Leafs.
