Yeah, midfield got overrun. Not sure what Tchouaméni thought he was supposed to do on the 2nd goal, but he let his man go and had a front row seat. Anyway, the point is that some in the French media were worried about defensive lapses. And we saw that today.

deserved result but I remember thinking, at least before what should have been the 3-0 goal from Yamal, that it was unfortunate to have the pen happen so early as it seemed to let the air out of France's balloon. really disappointing from that front 4 plus they got bossed in the middle of the park
