OT: Soccer thread

Little TFC data dump for anyone interested:

7-6-5 and sitting 3rd in the east with games in hand on the team ahead of them.
Next 4 games are away and we don't get back home until August 23rd.

Speaking of August 23 both that date and the following one on August 30th take place during the ex. With your TFC ticket you get free entry into the ex so for anyone who has not gone to a game before these offer you the incentive.

One of the away games is August 2nd vs Montreal in Montreal. Toronto should have a large traveling contingent at that game.

Speaking on the L'impact they will have upto 1700 traveling supporters here for the last home game of the regular season on OCT 23rd. They will be in 225,226,227 and this will likely get ugly at some point.

If you have never been to a game before don't just buy the cheapest ticket you can find. Make sure to note which section you are in and if it is a supporters section educate yourself on what takes place.

Main things to know about supporters sections: your row and seat # are a suggestion, yes i will be standing all game, adult language will be used so don't bring your 7 year old unless you want him to learn some new words, you will be chirped for leaving the game early or not showing up by the anthems, the wave is NEVER to be done so don't ask.

Moving onto the team itself:

Warren Crevalle was just acquired for the top allocation spot: any player coming into the league who has either been sold out of the league in the past or is part of the USMNT goes through the allocation order which is the reverse of the previous seasons standings.

Jordan hamilton had been on loan with wilmington in USL but has now been sent to portugal 2nd division on loan... This is a huge deal for him.

Some of the academy kids will be going to Wilmington soon because League1Ontario has not been high enough quality for them to develop, TFC is looking at getting their own USL team so they have more control over the players development.

Transfer window is open and i expect a player or two to be added but they won't be "Big Bloody Deals"

Julio Cesar has been officially recalled by QPR

@Everton: BESIC: The 21-year-old Bosnian international has signed a 5-year deal keeping him at Goodison until the summer of 2019. #efc #COYB

Those guys at GOT seem very cool. Friendly and all. Bosnians can get annoying sometimes so hopefully it won't become too much. Like when a player isn't really doing that well they'll start protecting him anyways(fanboy stuff basically...saw that plenty with Dzeko even when he was awful). I know that work ethic won't be an issue here and that's something guys like Dzeko and earlier in his career even Pjanic were criticised for...The kid is a workhorse who has other abilities that really make the difference.

Too bad that Everton site isn't like the Leafs one(apparently you gotta loggin to view videos here). Oh well, i'll see it later on youtube or something.

@GregOK: Confirmed. #Everton have completed a five-year deal for #Romelu Lukaku. Club will announce signing tonight. Massive coup for the Blues

If reports are accurate, then Chelsea realized that Lukaku and Mourinho were never going to get along, especially after Lukaku and Martinez have seemingly developed a good relationship.

Well TFC were shit tonight, probably the worst game i have seen since RSL at the beginning of the season.

Hopefully they turn it around for the derby saturday in front of 250+ of us traveling supporters.

@GregOK: #Everton's loan deal for Ghana & Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is not done yet but I'm told it's "very close". #EFC #CFC
