So much more confidence than in the past. Definitely a statement. Winning it all? Not sure about that, their back line is quite average and Iran obviously not up to testing it. But in attack, England is very impressive.
They maybe but this game is not an indication of that. Iran is in disarray. Half the country cheering against them. Some players under fire for weeks for not supporting the movement. Every move they've made has been criticised including the players smiling in their pre WC photoshoot. Not to mention goaltender out of the game due to injury.
Iran has been in the world Cup often and while they don't get through to the next round they never really get embarrassed. Last time they tied Portugal and could have easily won that game.

England are the Leafs of the soccer world. Overhyped and haven't won jack shit since the mid 60's. (and even that one win was highly suspect)
