Apparently, France has filed a protest over their overturned goal as Tunisia had restarted play and then the ref stopped play for the VAR which is against the rules. It could be overturned and reinstated as a tie (according to sports.fr)
what will happen when it goes to 48, will teams like Finland, Bulgaria and Hungary get in?

So, if wiki is to be trusted, I’m pleasantly surprised. Yurp only gets 3 of the 16 new spots. 13/32 > 16/48, so their allocation ratio is reduced.
Africa is the big winner, they could have as many 10 teams (so 2X).
Almost all of South America qualifies, it seems. Seriously, most of COMENBOL would qualify.
New Zealand is guaranteed a spot (unless the Aussies jump back into the OFC.)
At least 6, maybe 7, from CONCACAF. Bonkers.
