I'd say to eradicate the whole fucking species if the lebanese hadn't figured out how to make top tier pickles out of them.

I really like turnip (except for peeling them). Mashed with a bit of butter, tsp. of brown sugar and dash of cinnimon and nutmeg.

Roasted is really good as well.

If you grow your own beets, like I do, the leafy tops can be cooked exactly like spinach.
