OT: The M-Fing Food Thread

I have no issues with being obsessed, but you're not better than me because I sometimes get a coffee at Starbucks out of desperation. Stop looking at me like I'm the scum of the earth with your thick rimmed glasses.

Fucking r/coffee

I never cared too much about coffee. It has to have milk, because black coffee is legit disgusting, so either just a bit added, or a latte or au lait. And then really just on an occasion, maybe having some dessert after dinner or some random pastry during the day. Some people's obsession with having it in the morning and then multiple times later is something that I don't understand.

For a couple of years maybe a few years ago, I was getting an iced coffee every day, but just as an excuse to get out and take a walk and just have something. Then they kept raising the price to a ridiculous amount, like $6 or whatever, and I was like, I don't even really care for this that much, so it's becoming a silly thing to pay for every day. Instead I switched to green tea as a healthier and most cost sensible option and have been having that every day instead. But then the price of that jumped gradually over the course of a year from like $2.50 or something to $4.25 suddenly and I'm again questioning whether I need this. But they give one free refill of the tea per day, so I'll use it as the excuse for another walkabout, and that way I consider it as having paid only $2 per cup, which makes it feel like a more justifiable daily purchase. Still $80 a month or whatever for stupid green tea.
