OT: The M-Fing Food Thread

9mm is .35 inches which is pretty good. I usually see .25 inches (7mm) on my way looking for .5
 
Fwiw I've got nothing here other than the concerns of rust on cast iron. They perform so similar in other cooking equipment that i don't think there's a lot to differentiate on here.
 
I mean, all things being equal I'd prolly go with cast iron. Just like I prefer a cast iron pan to a stainless steel one - cast iron you can get really nicely seasoned.

But cast iron is likely to be much heavier. Dunno about cost either.
Cost is close on Amazon.. the grates @ Weber, the 9MM is like 250$ 👀 but not in the size I want..
 
Pasta e fagioli soup I made coupla SF trips ago. Not crazy about kidney or black beans, so cannelini it was. Worked just fine with ziti, plus no animal products at all. Chunky pieces of carrot, diced tomatoes, peas. . . surprised even me! 😊
