OT: The News Thread

LOL!

I had an SUV and a 4wd pick-up truck, NONE of them came close to a cheap, simple FWD minivan with snows. Extra set of 2 rims cost me $50 at the scrap yard and snows were another $250. Best investment ever for driving on snow.

My buddy's mother used to have a Honda Odyssey that was the best car I've ever seen in winter weather. That thing could probably haul an eighteen wheeler off of the road in inclement conditions if need be.

Yeah, snows are essential. I've got an awd sedan with snows and it handles like a dream in the snow. It almost feels like dry pavement.

Wouldn't think of driving without snows anymore. I have no idea what I was thinking when I was younger and survived winters without them.

wait, I wasn't thinking, that's it.

So on a 7 km drive through Mississauga, I see about a dozen cars miserably failing as snow plows. Two in a side ditch.

Stupid people showing their talents......

I'm taking the GO down to Union Station from Aurora, the TTC subway up to Pape Station, and then taking the 25 TTC bus to Don Mills Shopping Centre for a friend's birthday.

You just have to adjust your plans if driving isn't tenable. Lots of options available to people.

Didn't even take the car out today, I can only see half of it anyway, the hell with it I'm well equipped to survive the onslaught right here in my bunker wonderland.

GTA drivers are horrid even in dry, clear conditions.

On Thursday, I looked out my office window and saw a guy in a minivan (I actually prefer the term megastationwagon) driving along with a notepad on his steering wheel, writing notes. It's just not safe. If I was in charge, I would promptly revoke his license.

The reason I've never driven a motorcycle is precisely because of drivers. I just about have a bird every time I see some turd tailgating a motorcycle.

FULL GEAR....ALL THE TIME......or I dont ride.

Not that it's going to help much when some f'stick runs a light and sideswipes me.
