OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

I wanted Mobley back when zeke was still pushing #titlerun. We won too many games but #4 is still sweet.
 
There's a consensus Top 4 right now, so it could get interesting for us because we have our choice between either the "worst" of the 4, having to take whoever doesn't get selected, or the best player Rest of Field.

The draft's still a while away so it'll be interesting to see if 1 or 2 of the top 4 guys start to fall back, and/or if a couple of guys continue to move up draft boards.

Whatever happens, this is a great position for the Raps to be in. Gonna get a damn good player no matter what they do, and it could also be a high-end trade chip instead for a team desperate to move up.

Tennessee freshman, Keon Johnson, just set the NBA Draft Combine all-time record with a max vertical jump of 48 inches. Breaking the previous record by 2.5”.
 
I just wish there was one guy who rated ++ in BOTH shooting and driving. Seems like there's none.

This is why I like the big 18 yr old who can jump clean out of the gym and has good but inconsistent shooting mechanics. All of the shit that an uber prospect needs to be born with to have, he has. There's a chance that he can develop the rest. I remember when we used to draft kids right out of highschool under the assumption that they would have to learn and improve and shit.....

I was hoping Melo to drop at the time. Liked Bosh as a prospect though. Bought the narrative about the top 4 and a drop after that though, absolutely.

Don’t draft experts over hype gifted athleticism over elite IQ and fundamentals

Years ago Gerald Green was super hyped over physical traits

Bagley goes higher than Luca and many other examples
 
I really see Suggs as a mix of Lowry/FVV. Just needs to improve shooting. But the more I think of it. The more I see Kuminga potentially impressing in work outs. Dude is legit an athletic wing. Lock down defender potential. Don’t think there is any shooting touch yet tho.
