OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

This is a good outcome for the Raps. They showed that they can compete and that they have some good young pieces when healthy. Now they can start to "rest" their banged up good players (I can see RJ now coming down with a fatigued knee for example), and hope for some good lottery luck.

Is a top 5 pick this year > Top 15 pick next year?

Yup , Dick , Nowora , Abaji .......more meaningful minutes to reset for next year

Enough of shithead Trent , shut Scottie down for the year

Not sure I get the timing here. Doesn’t this just eat up possible cap space that could’ve been used to get someone. All while retaining Olynyk with bird rights? Or do we not have those?

Olynyk's cap hold was like 18m I think, signing him early creates more cap space

I like the player. And I really like having both Poeltl and Olynyk as center depth.

atleast this tandem will do until we find an upgrade.

Yeah, until we find an actual impact centre, this is a solid professional duo with different skill sets.

And KO is an easy contract to move if needed

Honestly, would probably be Jakob. Would fit what a lot of playoff teams would be looking for at the deadline if they were looking for a centre.

Tbh, I wouldn't be shocked if he was traded this summer after we threw a bag at Claxton. Could see OKC, Clippers, or Miami interested if defensive rebounding and rim protection ends up a major reason they're out earlier than expected.

Wtf....

@CH1

Is that all just really really good masking and rotoscoping?

The movement of the frame is what's getting me, but the final product looks pretty low res so maybe it's a 8-12K wide frame and they're using dynamic zoom within a static camera shot with a combination good masking and maybe some rotoscope?

Well beyond my experience/skill level, that's nice as hell to watch.

Also, fuck the celtics.
