Rumours and shit

- After earlier rumours of the Suns coming down on their ask for Kevin Durant, Windy is reporting that their ask is astronomical, as in they're expecting more or less the same value they gave up to get him. Enjoy having a slightly grumpy KD playing out the string to free agency bud.

- Despite some earlier reports that Toronto is in on KD, it's unlikely. Sources close to KD have listed SAS, Minnesota, Houston, Miami, and the Knicks as destinations he and his people are trying to make work....but I can fucking guarantee none of them are giving up good players plus a bag of draft equity for 37 yr old KD.

- Because Knicks are going to Knicks, it appears that their plan to replace Thibs was just to poach someone elses coach....but they've had Dallas, Minnesota, and Houston tell them to get fucked when they approached about Kidd, Finch, and Udoka. So clearly the search for a coach is going well as they're already on to Plan D and it's been like, a fucking week.

- Wizards are probably going to try to trade Jordan Poole this summer. Does he speak Chinese? Seriously though, yeah I could imagine wanting that guy as fucking far away from a young core as possible. Last thing you want is him being what passes for veteran leadership there.

- Celtics are allegedly listening to offers on Jaylen Brown....and Derrick White. I'm going to bet that means they've shopped Tingus and there's no interest because he might be busted.

- Golden State has checked in with the Bucks on Bobby Portis

- The Bucks are telling everyone who calls about Giannis to fuck off.

Celts have a massive payroll that new owners dropping 6 bil to buy may not want to pay

They won their chip and have nothing to prove , moving Brown and White in the right trade can reset a core , get younger and reboot while others in the conference slip

Its gutsy but doable , take a few steps back for 3 forward and have Tatum back next year
 
moving Brown would be very smart. he's the overrated one there but will command the highest price.

moving White would be super stupid. so underrated and you wouldn't get near value coming back.

How did James Dolan think this was going to go?

I get why they are moving on from Thibs, but you cant possibly tell me they didnt have an assistant, or college guy, or unemployed man as a plan B or some such?
