OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Lucas is trash. Lightning in a bottle those first 2 starts. DFA after today
Eh, you probably give him one more at least. There isnt anything in AAA until Bloss shows he can go more than 4.

More concerning is the offense. I like Gimenez but by god he might be the worst cleanup hitter in baseball. Santander has struggled and that will happen with Andres hitting behind him.

Varsho coming back, helps, sort of? all it really does is add a league average bat in, which is nice, cause Lukes/Straw is bad, but they need more. Always did

Even if it doesn't help the lineup much, if you're going to try to win with Pitching & D, having an elite CF in there is a pretty important piece towards that.

100%, even if he is a 100 WRC, he's probably a 4 win player in CF.

And Lukes is shit, Johnathan Clase is hitting in AAA at at absolute minimum is a speed demon to put him for Kirk late game

GImenez with a WRC+ of 8 in April.

This front office can forever get fucked. Extending Vlad doesn't save them.

This shit offensive profile they jerk off to is littered throughout their dogshit system. Nothing changes til they go

The team wrc+ going into yesterday was 107, which is pretty decent and an improvement on last year.

Also probably an indication that any progression we can expect from Santander, Kirk (maybe?)… others… is likely going to be offset by others coming back to earth (Springer, Straw).

Need Scherzer back at the very least.

I'd rather have the A's combination of roster, farm and front office than the Jays combination.
If they could still have a $250M payroll, yeah. A’s are at $73M this year.

The Jays are comfortably within the top 5 payroll teams in MLB, $25 million clear of Houston in 6th. I think most ownership groups would expect more for that level of commitment.
