Varland with great work there, and wouldn’t have let any run come across if the ump called those pitches touching the outside corner.

Bo has to get better with these late game ABs when we’re down. He just completely abandons his usual approach and swings wildly and indiscriminately to try to hit homers. Just make good contact and get a hit.

Prime Kershaw was a sight back in the day. Back about 10 years ago, when I was really getting back into baseball, Kershaw games were the ones that I would tune into whenever I could, just to watch. Honestly, as great as guys like JV or Max were, Kershaw IMO was still a notch above. Sad that he just wasn't healthy in his 30s, and couldn't get a full season in since then.

I’ve always questioned how the heck any minor leaguer hitter can do anything against a top major league pitcher, like it should be a perfect game every time out, but obviously that’s not the way things work.
