OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

My emotions were fucking hell he is out to omg he is safe to fuck me his foot was back down in time.

Shocked I survived that
They called him out and I'd been holding in an urgent piss for a while, so I got up to go to the bathroom but saw that they were looking at it again, and I sat right back down and prayed it was the lamest WS win of all (on a review of an out call), but then they upheld it and I cursed the heavens once more.

A bunch of work has been done on this, most inconclusive when measured head to head (probably methodolgy issues, testing has been using younger athletes in their teens, not elite level professional men) with very small advantages for head first (less than 5 ms) but there's two pretty reliable groupings of information when you look at the studies that have been done

1) Running through the base is faster than any other method most of the time (statcast data backs this up)
2) Diving head first can match or occasionally beat running through the base with the right technique, but feet first has never come close

It also just makes intuitive sense from a physics standpoint. Time spent in the air with low friction is faster than time spend with one of your bodies largest surface areas sliding across a high friction surface

So with all due respect to the fine people at mythbusters who have provided us all with hundreds of hours of excellent entertainment, but two complete non athletes doing this just isn't a thing worth considering as evidence imo.

So the guy who spent the season doom watching, then playing fan now can't see a light-hearted response for what it was...a nothing-burger when nobody really cares cause we are all...excuse me...most of us, feeling pretty bad

"playing"

Go fuck yourself. My anger with the organization is based on giving too many fucks for decades. Eat my light hearted ass.

You can't win this one fuckhead, you fake cheered the entire playoffs, say whatever makes you feel better, or whatever you think will make you look better here, won't change anything.

My old, old anti Rogers rants brought this stuff up a bunch. #JaysNation is an actual fucking nation. The only fanbase comparable in size is the Yankees. There was never an excuse to not invest in this club as a big market club. Was just Rogers being cheap fucks for years.

I shared the accusation:
Big market team run like a mid market team
Rogers brings in Shapiro from mid market Cleveland (rather than promote AA)

fast forward to last season
Rogers gets how valuable this team could be as a revenue generator

So, yeah I’m enjoying the corporate pivot but I’m not getting comfortable because biz strategies can change quickly
