OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Difficult to criticize a team for getting something back for a pitcher that can’t stay healthy. Ward helps them compete in 2026.
He was the top P prospect in the game 2 years ago and he's controlled until 2029, and they have zero pitching.

Unless his elbow is made of crushed doritos this is malpractice for a rental, and i like Ward, also especially after you gave 3 years to a corner OF in Oneill last year.

For them to include him in a deal like this, his arm probably is doritos. For the Angels it's a risk you have to take - for a rental like Ward you're not pulling in a ton, so the high risk/high reward option makes a ton of sense. I agree that I don't really see this from the O's side.

Yeah unless they know his arm is destroyed, it’s a profoundly moronic trade. Be one thing if Ward was controlled semi cheap for a couple years, but this deal is pretty fucking dumb for a team that needs pitching as badly as they do, and Grayson having the potential upside he does, and years of control.

Dylan Bundy not panning out, has them seeing ghosts.

I'll try to find an updated list of all the non tenders as they come, Garcia is the biggest one. Manoah is a FA also.

Jays inked a 25 year old "utility merchant" named Mendoza from the Tigers system to a Milb deal today
