OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I get they want another lefty, but this guy and Little on the team for a playoff chase outlines the orginizational need for an additional LHRP IMO
Feel like the Jays have barely had any lefties the last several years, maybe decade or more. Here and there like Robbie Ray for a minute, a couple of mandatory arms in the bullpen (only some good like Fluharty). Even when we face opponents, it feels like we rarely go up against LH starters.

Have left handed pitchers become rarer recently? Back in the day (80s and 90s), it seemed like every team had 2 or more lefty starters in the rotation. And we had guys like Key, Wells, Cerutti (only remember him because the new call up's name) and more over the years that had years of service time with us.

That made me want to check on Lauer again. Looks like he's still providing quality starts to LAD since we dealt him.

That was a dumb throwaway for no reason other than not wanting to let him pitch the first inning of those silly BP games.

Eh, Lauer has a 5+ FIP as a Dodger.

Dude needs to worry more about brushing up on his Korean, and less about whether he gets the ball in the 1st or 2nd inning.

Lauer had himself a weirdo fluke ass year with us last year, got pissy when we took him to arb, got hurt, pitched bad, got pissy again, and was rightfully dumped and has been mid as fuck as a Dodger, and will probably get pissy again when he gets left off their postseason roster

Im not really all that concerned with the rotation, but every pen needs at least 2.

Fluarty has been a great develop by these guys, but Little is a fucking terrorist, and guys like Mantiply/This bum we recalled aren't good enough for a playoff pen.

To his credit Mantiply might be better than that, and you should basically always give any LH with a pulse that used to be good a minor league deal, but i wouldnt be against throwing Hoffman/Yimi money at one in the Winter. JoJo Romero, AJ Minter, Jose Alvarado, Matt Strahm, AJ Puk and Greg Soto are FA
