the "decision making" justification makes me lol.

come on.

baseball is more intriguing because some guy who does his job by sitting on a bench for 4 hours a day gets to make one (in the overall scheme of things), relatively minor decision.

give me a break.

Is Cordeir even talking about where that stadium would be? In that economy with a new stadium needed, I'm not sure if it's as close as he says.
 
it would have been a real shame if guys like molitor and winfield and thome had to finish their careers as bench bats, or embarrassing themselves in the field, or prematurely.

haha sure, but they sure can terrorize opponents with their bats. You have to especially hold your breath when your pitcher is going against them; basically the exact opposite of a pitcher hitting.
 
Is that worse than some guy who can no longer play a position is paid large $$$ to hit 4 times a gsme while sitting in his ass the rest of the game?

The proof is in the numbers. AL teams bitch slap NL teams in interleague play, every year. Adding the DH has made for a better product.

i get jose wanting to be patient but it's a real shame he didn't attach that first pitch. i mean that's his pitch. it's crazy that they even risked throwing that.

winning = winning, not necessarily a better viewing experience for the neutral fan.
