OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I can't believe you can clinch a playoff spots these days playing .500 ball.
 
Vladdy is picking a good time to get hot.
I said they would make the playoffs and I will bet they beat the rays.
Upset? They should have won 3 more games against the rays early in the season.
 
so we're 4gms back of the "usual" 2nd WC, so on pace for 10-12gms back in a normal season.

not bad actually.
 
They're on pace for 85 wins, which I believe got the Twins into the playoffs a couple of years ago.

The lineup looks very good. The pitching needs some work. Over a full season, it would likely have been a bloodbath.
 
after the Ryu signing they really should have gone all out to add one more dependable top end starter, ideally in the off-season but at least by the deadline especially given how well the bats hit for the first half.
 
Does anyone think the Jays will show any interest in re-obtaining strolman this off season?

There is always the possibility that a Bauer might take his one year contracts north of the border.
 
I don't think Stroman is welcome here.

I also think it would be too tough on his ego to sign a cheap one-year deal with his old team. I see him as holding out for term, and, when it isn't available, signing with some random team late next spring.
