OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Besides Vlad the only off HR total from a non mega injured guy is maybe Varsho.

Kirk/Springer/Barger all hurt. I dont know what you want from Lukes/Sanchez/Gimmy/Clement

Vlad is obv a big one though, and i guess Davis? but i think he's shit
 
What should you really do in a year where Vladdy’s bat is a wet noodle? Add and just hope he comes to life and you squeeze in and start flying again? Or sell with an eye towards next year? But what if he’s just as fucked next year? It’s almost impossible to know what to do when your best player’s skills have ghosted him.

Make a long term power stick add at a position we could use an upgrade at. Adames is the obvious one that comes to mind. He's similar to Gimmy with the glove, but can hit.
 
Varsho sucks. How predictable that he’d strike out with the bases loaded. With Straw and Lukes on the roster he’d be the guy I love to upgrade the offense.
 
Yeah I'd be fine with a Varsho upgrade too. I never loved the acquisition in the first place and don't think 5'4 210 glove dependent centre fielders are prone to aging well.

Varsho hasn't been an elite CF since 2024. 13th in MLB in DRS among CF's, 22nd in FRV if you prefer their metric. Was above average last year but not elite. Starting to struggle to stay healthy, turns 30 in a few weeks and gives us on average just over 2 WAR a year.

Yeah, we can upgrade on that.

The only thing I will say about DRS is that it seems to be a counting stat. We really need an "on pace" update to DRS.

Varsho only played 71 games last year AND still came in 13th.
