OT: WWE/MMA/Boxing Thread

Well....0-1 already, like 20 seconds in. Oezdemir knocks out Manuwa

Worst part is, it wasn't even particularly impressive. Manuwa got lazy/sloppy in the clench and ate a short hook that buckled him.

I'm calling it a slight edge for Lawler.

Lawler looked better after a long layoff than I thought he would and yeah, probably edged out a legit decision there on aggressiveness. That body kick early in the 3rd seemed to take a lot of Cowboy's steam. He needed to catch Robbie coming in and just wasn't able to pull the trigger like he had in the 2nd (and parts of the 1st, after the 30 seconds of Lawler dominance to start the fight)

This trailer park looking woman is tough as nails though. Cyborg has landed on the button a few times now and she has one punch power against women.

This is ugly but I'm kinda impressed that it's going to the 3rd round. Thought Cyborg would knock her out in the first.

Yeah... not technically impressive but has managed to hold on.

It almost looks like they just grabbed someone from the crowd and said "you're fighting!"

Cyborg is an animal.

It's a shame Joanna is like 78 pounds. Joanna-Cyborg would be maybe the only women's fight I could legitimately be excited to watch.

Cyborg hit her with stuff in the 1st that drops 95% of professional women's fighters. Trailer park lady is tough as nails.

You don't think Nunes/Cyborg would be interesting?

Nunes is comfie at 135....Cyborg is a relatively tough cut to get in at 145..and no, as tough as Nunes is, I think Cyborg beats the shit out of her. Joanna is the only woman I've seen with the technical skills that Cyborg has.

Woodley-Maia coming up....maybe the most interesting style match up in a long time. I don't think you can find 2 guys more different than these two, and more elite in their niches.

If Woodley could string punches together, he'd be unstoppable. His lack of fluidity with his hands is really his only weakness. His take down defence is bordering on legendary at this point.
