I feel that I'm on the same side as I was during the lockout. The side of what is fair and deserved.
I feel that the new CBA ended up being quite fair.... and I feel PK deserves either a 1 year $4M deal or a long term deal that pays between $4.5-5M a year depending on how many of his UFA years we get.

When I brought up PK's character, it was not about him being a cancer in the dressing room. It was more about his coachability. He's a bit of a selfish player out there and he needed to be constantly reminded to play the team's game (or the white way!). He got better at that by the end of the season but I'm pretty sure that management would like to keep him on leash a bit longer with a shorter contract than to give him the long term contract he wants. He had Alex Henry lecturing him in Hamilton, then Gill in Montreal. I'm not sure who will be PK next babysitter.

I find the whole idea that people are claiming that PK needs a "baby sitter" to be a very odd position.
Virtually every young player has mentors on their teams but for some reason with PK they refer to the mentor as a "baby sitter." I'm not going to venture a guess as to why he has "baby sitters" while other players have mentors, but it's odd that's for sure.

Not necessarily racists, but possibly some of you are... and the others listen to the shit that racists spew and recycle it. And some may dislike PK for reasons outside of his race.
Malkin lived with and was mentored by Gonchar for his first 3 years in the league.

Babysitter may have been just an offhand substitute for mentor, but since you're into exploring it, I would say babysitter implies that the person might get into trouble if left completely unsupervised.
Crosby didn't need a babysitter. He was probably in his room practicing his canned "aw shucks" speeches until he fell asleep at 11PM.
PK, on the other hand, is a lot more fun. Like Ferris Bueller, he'll crash your dad's fancy car if you let him.

While a lot of players were out partying and just having a good time in general. You always see pictures of players drinking on Twitter and other places. PK kept working throughout the lockout. He made a bunch of TV appearances and worked on the Sportsnet panel.
