Round 2 | Montréal vs. Boston

Boston will not be intimidated by a Bell Centre playoff crowd. There will be lots of pressure on the Habs if they lose on Saturday and the Bruins will seize on that. If the Habs somehow beat the Bruins 15 hours from now then I say the series is 50/50 coming back to Montreal even though the Habs would be up 2-0 in games.
Rask does have a better record at the phone booth, but will it make that much of a difference against this version of a Habs team should he lose & go 0-10 today at Boston lifetime?

I have a feeling we'll lose this game, but getting the first win out of the way when we were out-played is a great sign still. For the rest of the series, we're going to have one game where we dominate and win handily (Habs-style, so it'll be like a 2-1 win). Price will steal one other game this series. Then we just need another solid team effort win and we can take the series.

Good thing or Carey's focus could have been compromised.

Wow! Our listener John HAS FOUND @CP0031 2 lost dogs! He was listening to TSN 690 & called in #Habs he's at Carey's house giving them back

According to Luc Gelinas, a Bruin reporter asked Dauterive how he will have his team handle the refs at the Bell Centre where they always favour the Canadiens.

Nothing from Luc as to Dauterive's response but I bet he didn't diffuse the situation.

#canadiens Michel Therrien:"je trouve que les Bruins s'en tirent pas mal bien avec les pénalités."

Krusty, just for you.

Boston Bruins have not lost a game 3 since 2009. 12-0 since 2010. Just saying..

Ray Ferraro on Subban/Thornton in Game 2.

"Now you're supposed to stand there and let a guy take a run at you from 30 feet? I'm going to duck. Don't like it? Don't run me."

yeah I didn't understand how the Bruins were so choked at that given Bergeron dove out of the way when Begin went to hit him in 2004 and ended up with a busted up face

Therrien on #Bruins finding Price's weakness w/ traffic, shooting high: "It’s not a new strategy as far as I’m concerned. It’s old as dirt”

Interesting part of Carey Price's reaction to "weakness" high is that Stephane Waite told him about them.

Honestly, why would a goalie coach show his goalie comments from the other team pointing out his weaknesses other than to get a mental edge?

Further proof that Stephane Waite's strongest attribute as a goalie coach might be the mental side of the

Waite was Corey Crawford's goalie coach when Bruins spoke of shooting high glove. He showed Crawford a highlight reel of his glove

Every goalie in the league is vulnerable up high, especially butterfly-style goalies. So for Dougie Hamilton to say "Eureka! I've found Price's weakness!" like its some sort of revelation is laughable. It's like saying water is wet.

But saying that you need to shoot high is one thing. Being able to do it at full speed during a game, under pressure and with guys trying to check you, and still being able to hit the top shelf without Price picking it off with his glove? Not so easy. And last I saw, Dougie Hamilton wasn't exactly a prolific scoring machine so he knows better than most how hard it is to pull off.
