Also if reports are true that Radulov/Bergevin already have a deal in place... I do everything in my power to get Kovalchuks rights. Almost all your issues would be resolved before the damn draft!

Shipachyov is a nice addition fo a few years but hes 30.

Chuck is 23.

Our young forward group is weaker than defence that has sergachev, juulsen, mete, etc...

Listen... If we can get a legit #1 centre for Chucky, then sure. I just don't see it happening.

Im looking below the surface. We have a blue chip d prospect. 2 excellent d prospects in juulsen and mete who looks like a steal.

Then we have lernout bourque who are maybes.

What do we have at forward? Hudon and scherbak and mccarron and de la rose and bitten.

I feel better about the d

I have faith that Sergachev will be good, not sold on Juulsen just yet.

This team is not going to build an offensive juggernaut, no matter how bad the fans want it. I would love to be the Hawks/Oilers etc... But this team is not going to tank properly and managment has a defensive mindset.

If we are going to be a goalie factory and play defensive hockey then we should build from the goalie out. Sign some KHL talent and the odd FA until we get it right in the draft.

Kovalchuk would likely prefer to stay in NYC or wind up in Florida. Wife and 4 kids are a major factor. It will be sign-and-trade, though.

There is no other team in the league that has a bigger need at center than us, so there is very little reason for not having the best offer.

Not really gonna get too disappointed to not have gotten a 30 year old KHL vet.

Let's see if MB can get his head out of his ass and find an actual legit NHL center with top six talent.

In the end he may have to go back to pushing hard to get Duchene.

that will cost us actual assets -- something we are not abundant in

besides, Bergy already has told us repeatedly that top 6 centers are never dealt
