Agreed... terrible trade. They should have bit the bullet and let Vegas select Nelson or Strome.
 
I hope Strome can play center. He might become the default #1 after Tavares bolts that BS of a franchise.
 
Yeah, that trade by the Isles was insane.

1 year of Grabbo's IR money + anyone from their exposed list...doesn't come close to being worth what they gave up.

They're gearing up to do something desperate in free agency, I think.

Am I heartless or does it not make a lot of sense that Anderson won the Masterton due to his wife having cancer?

I feel for the guy and his wife. That's a tough situation... but that award is always given to a player who personally went through an illness or injury.

Man the Oilers took a shit kickin in that Reinhart trade. A terrible trade at the time and now they lose him for nothing.
 
I felt the same. Yes, it's hard to have a family member go through a bout of cancer, but how does that rate? I don't know about the other nominees and why they were. Imitated though, so whatevs. He seems like a good guy.
