The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 3 - Habs vs Flyers

Good : Being in wife 's uncle place with too many guests i was watching the game on my phone , He told me lets see i can find the game on TV and we watched 3rd together ! Happy ending :)
Bad: defense
Ugly :Went to washroom and came back already 2-0 Flyers !

I think it was GGpX who said Philly is the hunt for McDavid.

Yep.

They're not shitty enough to be in the McDavid running, but they're not making the playoffs. There's no chance unless they make a monstrous trade. That defense is horrible and after Giroux's line, there's not much there in terms of forwards. Think they'd like to have a mulligan on the James van Riemsdyk for Luke Schenn trade? Yowch.

It's one of the reasons I wanted Bergevin to do everything possible to get their first round pick a few months ago.

Yeah, I recall now.

Philly was putrid when the wheels came off. Really bad.

Good: The Habs forgetting about the trap in the third period while the Flyers were satisfied just sitting on a 3-goal lead.

Bad: The Habs just going through the motions in the first two periods.

Ugly: Chris Lee reffing one of our games again.

Awesome: 3-0 to start the season
Good: Tinordi - very good game
Bad: Subban & shit for brains
Ugly: Flyers...one less team to worry about in the playoff chase.

Side note - Would love for the Habs to get their hands on Simmonds, an ingredient this org hasn't had in a very long time...they'd become a serious force with a player of such ilk.

It's funny that the player Krusty wanted gone 3 years ago, is the same player that was the main force behind the Habs winning in Philly (as Krusty and his boys we're watching).

3 point for Markov yesterday.......

They're not trading Simmonds.

Berube will be fired by Christmas.

He has backtracked now and said that Markov always starts well then petters out by the end of the season... :nono

The Canadiens were okay in the first period (it was a bad 17 seconds, really), very bad in the second (the 3rd Flyer goal was very deflating), and then unbelievable in the 3rd. The best part was that our seats were about 20 rows up, right on Emery's goal line in the 1st and 3rd, so we got to see the comeback and shootout about as well as you could imagine. There was a group of Habs fans in a box right behind the Flyers' net who yelling "Go Has Go" for large chunks of the game and were getting razzed right back. All in good fun. Did not see that comeback coming at all. Just wanted to see one goal so that Emery wouldn't get the shutout. JT, NB and AM were solid but 77 and 43 struggled, and 76 was awful for most of the game. He needs get to head out of his $72 million ass. 51 tries but he's just too small. 67 never plays well in Philly. 26 was much better with 17 and 81 than he was with 14 and 27, and 27 was superb in the 3rd period, and he's clearly our best forward already. The PP was awful, and as Sal said, it's because it lacks any sort of net presence. Get Chris Steward out of Buffalo. That's it. Goodbye.

Just watching the highlights again, Plekanec sure looks rejuvenated getting to play with all offensive wingers.

No more Giontas and Moens.
