The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 3 - Habs vs Flyers

You know what Plekanec looks like? He looks like he's having fun for the first time in years. For the first time in god knows when, he isn't being asked to be the shutdown center with a rotating cast of so-so wingers. It's like they removed the shackles from him and told him to just go play.

The Canadiens were okay in the first period (it was a bad 17 seconds, really), very bad in the second (the 3rd Flyer goal was very deflating), and then unbelievable in the 3rd. The best part was that our seats were about 20 rows up, right on Emery's goal line in the 1st and 3rd, so we got to see the comeback and shootout about as well as you could imagine. There was a group of Habs fans in a box right behind the Flyers' net who yelling "Go Has Go" for large chunks of the game and were getting razzed right back. All in good fun. Did not see that comeback coming at all. Just wanted to see one goal so that Emery wouldn't get the shutout. JT, NB and AM were solid but 77 and 43 struggled, and 76 was awful for most of the game. He needs get to head out of his $72 million ass. 51 tries but he's just too small. 67 never plays well in Philly. 26 was much better with 17 and 81 than he was with 14 and 27, and 27 was superb in the 3rd period, and he's clearly our best forward already. The PP was awful, and as Sal said, it's because it lacks any sort of net presence. Get Chris Steward out of Buffalo. That's it. Goodbye.

Thanks Coach Walrus

Subban certainly looked bad in this game!!

Tinordi had a good game IMO/.

Galchenyuk had a great game again, looks like he has gotten much stronger than last year. (only 20 years old).

Would love to see Simmonds on this Habs team!!! Makes me wonder if Stewart would have a similar effect on the Habs??? I don't think he works as hard as simmonds but maybe a change of scenery would help him.

Markov is playing super and two rookie d-men also held their own, $9m man and Gilbert not so well.
Great that Chris Lee, for 2nd straight game didn't have any impact on game.
Plekanec & Galchenyuk nice combo.
(but best of all was Leaf jersey tossed on the ice in another Leaf loss, too funny)

cant show up for only 30-40 minutes , but who gives a shit a win is a win , ugly or not , just banked 6 key points and 27 looks like he is ready to finally emerge

Exactly what we need on the top 6 a Simmonds type , total respect for 11 but he isnt top line material

PAP looked better with 27 & 14. They should leave them together for a few games.

The PP coordinator needs to get his head out of his ass and try to set up Subban by switching the point men as soon as possible. I don't think they switched even once this season. That's when our PP is most dangerous, when Subban is a one-timer option, which they never even try to set up anymore. That's just dumb. We have a 4 on 3 PP and DD is playing at the top of the diamond and not Subban? WTF!?!?

Gilbert was very good again. I dont get what you guys are watching
Yep, I am liking him more and more as he gets comfortable with his teammates. I especially like the fact that I no longer need to worry about the 2nd PP unit point men as he is more than capable of handling the puck.
