He clearly sees Raddysh as a 1D. I am paraphrasing, but he said something along the lines of "points are a noisy stat, but we like the underlying numbers. He does everything in tough minutes and is a dman this team hasn't had in a long time."

I was never nervous about that. I’ve spent days telling you all it wasn’t happening. I’m just glad this probably means less bs from the media on it.

He mentioned Raddysh being a needle-mover at 5 on 5 playing against top comp and producing well, not just a PP guy, and that this wasn't just a random one-off year, he had been progressing for awhile. Which is what is getting missed from the critics of this move - he had 2 seasons of top 10 offensive production at evens, not 1 (146 games). That alone reduces the risk significantly for me. The risk, like any 30 year old UFA signed for 8 years, is the term.

He made a bit of a strange comment on Danford, like we’re all clogged up on the right side for now, so he’s more likely an option in a couple of years.

Obviously Raddysh. Tanev, ok, assuming he’s healthy and not looking past this year. But the only other obstacle is Carlo, and I refuse to believe he plans to keep that guy.

Makes me think he intends to blow his brains out for Andersson and then trade the excess Carlo, which leaves no spot for Danford.
